Project Description
Angels & Demons is a 2009 American film adaptation of Dan Brown’s novel by the same name. It is the sequel to The Da Vinci Code, even though the novel Angels & Demons was published first and takes place before the novel The Da Vinci Code. Filming took place in Rome, Italy, and the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California. Tom Hanks reprises the lead role of Robert Langdon, while director Ron Howard, producer Brian Grazer, and screenwriter Akiva Goldsman also return.
coANDco took on the adventurous trip through the online worlds and managed to reveal every ambigram correctly.
Specialities regarding the online advertising:
- Floating Ad (20min and Bluewin): Directly placed above the website and blends in perfectly with the website thanks to the semi transparent background. With trailer streaming. Generated exceptional response rate of over 5%!
- Tagesanzeiger.ch Wallpaper: Leaderboard synchronised with the skyscraper banner. The skyscraper contained video animations and the leaderboard shows textual information.
- Blick.ch Branding Day on number one Swiss tabloid site blick.ch: Highly present with bold angel background. Additional rectangle with trailer streaming and leader board with rotating text information.

The Facebook Competition:
The new and innovative form of advertising and competition on Facebook!
Collect and win: The Facebook users needed to post all four ambigrams (Air, Water, Fire and Earth) to thir profile. Who ever found all four ambigrams and posted to their profile took part in the Angels & Demons competition and could win cinema tickets for him/her and his/her 20 Facebook friends. The posted ambigrams linked directly to four different competition sites on the movie website where the trailer could be played.
